MARCO FURNITURE WARRANTY POLICY

Marco Furniture's warranty policy adheres to the Australian Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Australian Consumer Law). The warranty is designed to offer additional protection beyond the statutory rights granted under Australian Consumer Law, ensuring peace of mind for our customers.

1. Additional Benefits

The warranty provided by Marco Furniture supplements the rights customers already have under Australian Consumer Law, providing added assurance on the quality and durability of our products.

2. Warranty Periods

The duration of warranties varies based on the product category and component:

The warranty period begins from the date of delivery or collection and does not restart after replacement.

3. Warranty Details

  • Non-Transferable: The warranty applies exclusively to the original purchaser and is not transferable to other parties.
  • Single Use: If a product is replaced under warranty, the original warranty period remains unchanged.

4. Exclusions to the Warranty

The following are not covered under the warranty:

  • Misuse or Improper Use: Damage due to misuse, chemical exposure, or negligence.
  • Extreme Conditions: Damage from extreme weather, sunlight, heat, or moisture unless the product is explicitly designed for such conditions.
  • Dye Transfer: Stains or discoloration from clothing, cushions, or rugs.
  • Modifications or Improper Assembly: Issues arising from unauthorized modifications or incorrect assembly.
  • Unauthorized Repairs: Repairs carried out by contractors not authorized by Marco Furniture.
  • Failure to Follow Care Instructions: Any damage due to neglect or improper maintenance.
  • Commercial Use: Products used in commercial or rental settings, accidental damage, or items sold as clearance/‘As Is’ products.

5. Fair Wear & Tear

The following are considered normal wear and tear and are not covered by the warranty:

  • Settling of Fillings: Settling of foam or feather fillings over time.
  • Fading or Wrinkling: Natural fading or wrinkling of fabrics and leathers.
  • Scratches or Dents: Minor scratches, dents, or chips due to everyday use.
  • Material Variations: Natural variations such as grain, knots, or patterns in materials like wood, leather, or marble.

6. Consumer Guarantees

Marco Furniture products are protected by Australian Consumer Law, ensuring that they meet acceptable quality and durability standards:

  • Major Failure: Customers are entitled to a refund, replacement, or compensation for major product failures.
  • Minor Failure: For minor defects, repairs, replacements, or refunds will be provided as deemed suitable.

7. How to Make a Claim

To make a warranty claim, please provide Proof of Purchase. The process varies slightly for store and online purchases:

  • For Store Purchases: Check your product thoroughly at the time of collection.
  • For Delivered Products: If you receive a damaged item, you have the right to claim it upon delivery. You must notify us within 48 hours of receiving the item and provide pictures as proof of the damage. Email a description of the issue along with supporting photos and a copy of the purchase invoice to info@marcofurniture.com.au. Allow 2-3 working days for our customer service team to get back to you with a response.

If the product requires inspection:

  • Inspection Call-Out Fee: A call-out fee may be charged initially but will be refunded if the claim is valid.
  • Transport Costs: If the product needs to be returned, Marco Furniture will cover the transport costs upon approval of the warranty claim.
